Hello,
I am new at this and would appreciate anyone's help. My scanner is a RS Pro162 and I can't figure out how to get the frequencies loaded correctly. The frequencies I am talking about are for Christian County, Missouri.

Thankyou in advance,

Hello,

The LTR system listing for that County (assuming this is what you're trying to do) gives names and numbers of transmitting sites. Rayfield Communications, Inc. - UHF (SWMO) Trunking System, Southern Missouri, Missouri - Scanner Frequencies

First you have to figure out which site you are closest to. You could do that with a map or by programming all the frequencies as conventional FM and listening to which ones you can catch.

Then you have to program the scanner for LTR. Since I don't have a radio like that and cannot find a manual online I can't help with that part. (shouldn't even guess since that's a Uniden-built radio and all my experience is with GRE-built radios)

I note that only the Springfield and Scoutland sites show numerical orders for what order the freqs should go. So if that radio requires you put the frequencies in the correct order manually then there isn't enough posted info to program the radio for other than Springfield or Scoutland. (You may have to crack the system yourself with the posted info as a head start. And start with the posted freqs in their given order 1,2,3. There are several articles in RR wiki explaining ways to crack an LTR system. I wrote the one about using a Pro-97.)

Some radios (Pro-106/197) can figure out the frequency order without the user's help which might explain with the RR database doesn't have the channel # info.

LTR Programming

To NWOU,

Thankyou for your help. I used the RR Database to find christian county, Missouri., when I started looking around I discovered that each frequencie has a location numder associated with it. The numbers are 1-6. I programmed all the 1's in bank 1, the 2's in bank 2, etc, etc.. I'm not sure if that is the right way to program my scanner, but it is working.

Once again, Thankyou
