At least for now, Listening to The Marine Band requires a favorites list which is very limiting.
Using arc-patrol I edited our county fire group in the radio's database adding the marine channels
I wanted, including alpha tags, but called them "fire dispatch" instead of "transportation".
It works like a charm and you don't have to activate the "transportation" service group which may bring
in a lot of stuff you may not want to hear.
A lot of fire service folks like to keep an ear on marine activity.

The HP works well on marine freqs. I live about 10 miles from Lake Erie. Even with the stock antenna in my basement shack I have no issues listening to lake traffic.

This is our active time of the year for the lake. Traffic is pretty much non stop in the summer.
