HP1 mobile?

Forgive me if this has already been discussed. I have my HP1 installed in my car. Every time I start the car the scanner asks me if I want to start charging and I have to turn on the scanner. Is there anyway to disable this? I would like to start the car and have the scanner come on in the same state it was when it was turned off.

I'm not sure if the HP1 works the same way, but this may be something you could try. With the batteries removed, a 396XT will remember the state it was in before DC power was turned off (if it was on when power was cut, it will automatically turn back on when power is restored).
