The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

How do I program the voice storage in my ht1250 ls +?

Also how does the trunked, LTR and passport work?

I want to transmit on 1 frequency. Can I just program the same freq over and over again in the radio trunked, ltr and passport?

HT1250+ programming

The Voice Storage is an option board that is available through Motorola that runs $75. Once that is installed the software recognizes it and then you can program those features.
The HT1250+ is capable of conventional (regular radio) as well as LTR Trunked and Passport. There are a few dealers that have LTR systems up. Most Kenwood dealers have a system that your HT1250+'s will work on. We (Two Way Radio of Carolina) have a system in downtown Charlotte, but that is all that it covers. Tim Rock down at South Sales has quite a few towers up in the Charlotte area, I think Carolina Communications has some in Monroe, and High Country Communications has some up in Elkin area.
Not many people are using Passport in the area. Passport lets your radio "roam" from tower to tower to support big coverage areas. Motorola pushed all its dealers really hard back in the early 2000's to join with all the other dealers to create a big network that could compete with Nextel, but the cost was too much.
