The Hurricane Tracking Net started to be active this evening looking for Eastern Caribbean Islands in affected areas. Look at 14.265 MHz, Upper Side Band. This is worth listening to.
In addition our Utility monitoring wiki has a hurricane section of 3 or 4 links with specific targets for HF listening, propagation permitting. Hugh Stegman's list is highly recommended as he goes through great lengths to keep it updated.
Note that the USAF MARS freqs that are often used for phone patches shifted, again, back to their original frequencies after being offset by 100khz or so. For example the popular 13927.1 freq has shifted back to 13927.0
During significant events, Salvation Army runs their health and welfare traffic net on 14.265. They were very active last summer and instrumental in Karina response. The NOAA hurricane net is 14.325. Thanks for correcting my writing error.
