• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello
I programmed Hytera PD362i for local DMR repeaters and I can hear TGs talks but when I push PDD I’m getting odd warning that Group Call TX Forbidden
No idea why and where I can fix the setting in CPS.
Any one used this model on local DMR repeaters?
Thanks

Sounds like you miss programmed it. Lots of little places to put things in Hytera.

CPS for PD362i is pretty basic and I did all as per DMR club instructions and none of that club could figure out. That’s why I posted that hoping someone knew what could be wrong. I know I miss programmed, it’s obvious. My question is where and which part.

But did you post screen shots or a code plug for people to look at?
From experience (MOST) but to be fair not all HAM'S leave steps OUT weather on purpose or accident no one really knows! You can watch millions of amature YOUTUBE instructions and yes they will leave at least one step that you need out of the video to complete the operation. Some complain about Hams, but its been my personal experience doing configurations that they either leave it out or the other option is they really have NEVER done the thing but after 30 posts it comes out that it should happen this way? And they will lead you to believe they are right but again they have no idea cause they have never done it. Sorry to bash HAMS but there are some bad apples ruining it for the rest.

Thanks, I found resolution for that warning. Now the radio works perfectly fine. Love Hytera hardware ❤️

Hytera has almost too many options since they are a commercial radio not a Ham radio BUT their technical support has gone to ****!!! factory wants you to deal with a un trained dealer that only cares about sales not customer support! And the new line of radios has BUGS no one wants to fix! As I stated in many posts its not good to change firmware if you don't know what the new one dose some times it brakes the radio and there is no fix! and that's how Hytera rolls...
