Zello’s big round button can’t be missed.
how does the radio push the button ?

you might think about team viewer.
you plug the audio from the scanner into a computer and can then use team viewer to listen when you want.

They stream across zello all the time with the vox option I think but I've never set it up

Can confirm the VOX option works great on Zello for this. The only thing I'm not sure about is feeding the scanner audio into it. I would assume you can just capture it in Zello via the microphone port.

I just use a virtual cable to feed the audio from SDRTrunk into the virtual cable, then capture it in Zello. You may have to play around with the VOX threshold settings in Zello to get it right, but it does work.

I actively feed through zello when im not in range of the area i want to listen to you can select what microphone you want to use so when you hook up the scanner to that microphone and go to tools then options then select recording device then go to vox and set it up how you want it low activation means it will pick up more sound so if you have a scanner that has a lot of white noise set it higher then when all done make sure the Lock button is red on the main PTT page and that the zello channel that you want to feed to is selected , Hope this answers your question

I went over it step by step in this thread
(post #8).

It's from several years ago but the setup is still the same. I have several audio feeds I host for myself and friends through zello and it works well for me. I would recommend a dedicated pc for it though. I host everything with an old ThinkCentre M600 I had laying around. Between 2 sdr's, a Bluetail p25rx, Unitrunker, and NoMachine it's all that little pc wants but it works and I only have to restart it about 3 times a year. I would highly recommend setting up NoMachine or something similar so you can log in remotely control your feed incase what you want to listen to changes while you're away from your radio.
