Looking for experiences with the ICOM IC-RSBA1 software, specifically with an IC-705. I have a couple questions:

1) Has anyone run this in an M1 Mac with Parallels and Windows 11-ARM? How well has it worked?

2) In general (on a pure Windows machine or Mac) how well does it work? Does it crash, disconnect etc.?

3) Is it work the $140 or so cost?

4) Are there any alternatives that allow for a similar feature set (remote access etc.)?

I have not used mac, but I use RSBA1 to wireless connect to the 705 for various controls, and it works well. I have no complaints, but some people seem to have issues.

I'll second the vote for Win4Icom, though I have no experience running it on a Mac.

Take a look at SDR Control for Icom. It’s a Mac app and has an iPad version as well. It works. I love it.

Might be wrong here but RT systems makes software to program the radio not to control it. I have the RSBA1. It does work well but unfortunately you can't resize the application window to your liking which i find ridiculous in 2022 when a lot of people have big 4k monitors. If memory serves me well you will have the same issue with Win4Icom. Definitely a show stopper for me. Win4Icom won't natively allow you to control the radio thru a wired/wifi connection.

The SDR Control for Icom iPad or Mac app does it all and is very easy to operate wirelessly with the Icom 705. It has a lot of features for the money.

Don't know about SDR Control. Glad it works well. The OP was about Icom RSBA1, It does work well but for me not being able to resize the window to my liking is a show stopper.
