Icom IDAS F1100DS radio

I just got this radio, I listen to the railroads.

Under NXDN, it won't let me put no code in like an "open" channel like it does in Conventional. I only use this radio for reception, no transmission, is this radio presetting a RAN Code gonna limit my NXDN reception should any frequencies transmit in NXDN mode?

I'm a Kenwood guy, but used to use a lot of Icom.

See if their is an option for 0, Zero, or None.

Maybe one of the Icom owners can verify what terminology they use. On the Kenwood radios, it's None.

I have it set to 0, I just wasn't sure if that was like a "open" channel. Thanks

OK, that's what you want. That's the NXDN equivalent of carrier squelch.
