Yeah it's going to be pricey. Plus if you want a good one you know how your going to have to get it. That's going to be nerve wracking to say the least for those in the US.

Damn, 10 Grand.

You know, I also like to invest in good equipment, and I'm more than willing to do so, but Sheesh thats a tough pill to swallow.

I think I might go the 756III Pro route, since the spectrum display really is only useful for HF monitoring....

Oh well...

(Trust me, if I spend 10K on a radio, the wife would have a cow)

Hello,

I noticed in UK pricing vs US pricing the numbers tend to stay the same but the symbol changes. I would not be surprised if the USA price is in the eight grand range,

I also think that P25 should be included.

I got a Pre-Release Product Information Brochure. I am somewhat confused by the listing of a CT-17 level converter and text that it is for remote control. There is a Remote Jack on the back but also a 9-Pin RS-232 port.

It will be interesting to read the manual as the radio has a bunch of interesting connection possibilities. It should clear up some questions as well.

Did anyone get one under the Christmas tree?
Just kidding...

We had a poster a while ago who had preordered one, but I have not seen any new news on the receiver in months.

Odd, the spectrum display in my PRO III works fine from 100 Khz to 54 Mhz.

Hello,

I have a spectrum display for my AOR 5000 and find it useful for VHF/UHF as well. Really handy if you are searching a section of the Aircraft band or looking for LTR idle bursts.

If the ICOM Display is really fast when displaying wide sections of spectrum then it will be useful for the Military Aircraft band as well. I can only see up to 5 MHz of spectrum with my current setup.

Ok, my wife said ok to purchase a 9500. Scott will you pull me back to reality! Please! Although I am flattered of her understanding of my compulsive behavior to have the latest and greatest. Question, Scott would you?
