I currently have a Icom R5 but was thinking of replaceing it with the Alinco X10. I like the R5 and have no problems with it but I would like to have a keypad, and selectable usb/lsb that the Alinco has. I am wondering how the performance of the Alinco is compared to the Icom?. I understand that X10 is a battery hog and was wondering if there are any other features good or bad that anyone could comment compared to the R5.
