ID Scan Group IDs - BCD325p2

I am using a BCD325p2, and am wondering if there is a way to restrict an ID Search only to a select few Group IDs; ie: my local government public works only use the 500 series ID, and I would like isolate the search to that rather a general ID Search. I am not finding the possibility, but wondering if it is. Thanks for any an all responses.

Pretty sure it's just id search. I don't think you can predefine any parameters in id search mode.

You could load xxx500 thru xxx599 as talkgroups and then see which ones get hits.

The preload of talkgroups may be best as I doubt that they are much past 530.

Someone else sent me an email about locking out the undesired talkgroups, thus leaving only the desirable. This is workable but much work that I was trying to avoid if possible.

program the system you want to listen to with only the talk groups of interest and save a copy, upload the new system to the scanner, press id scan and off you go, no more searching on that system.

Or you could lock out any non-500 TGs as they are active. (but I would go the ID SCAN route programming the 500s)

Thank you for all your suggestions! I have ended up loading up the unknown 500 TGs on a new system copy to id any unknown TGs with ID SCAN.
