ID SEARCH - how this works

If I switch to ID SEARCH mode but in memory I have a particular TGID permanently locked out, will the scanner be smart enough to know not to stop on that TG??? I hope the answer is yes.

Anyone know the answer to this?

I have the 996T, and it does not stop on locked out TGID's in the search mode. I suspect this would be true for all Unidens, but you will have to ID your Uniden model to be sure.

I have the 396XT and it too skips locked out TGIDs.

Thanks - I was asking about 396's and 996's.

This is very good news. I am creating an online feed and want to make sure I don't miss any new talkgroups so I want to put the system in ID SEARCH mode, but to meet RR.com TOS I can't feed certain tgs - so I need to lock them out.
