What is the exact status of IDAS decoding ?

I tried with DSD 1.074 , nothing . I tried with winDSDV2 from EricCottrell . I have 2 poor frames on an heavy local signal .

French red cross went to IDAS nationwide

Have you tried DSD+ with the -fm option set? It should decode voice and data frames (no vocoder so no voice audio) on IDAS dpmr?

IDAS NXDN should decode ok on DSD+.

Maybe DSDAuthor could update on the possibility of adding the IDAS dpmr vocoder on a future Fastlane version???

IDAS

How to make difference between IDAS ?

Is IDAS /dPMR same as dPMR and decode with dPMR TX/RX(if we can reteive digital settings )?

IDAS /nxdn 4800 exists ?

Yesterday It was a very strong signal , I tried DSD 1.074 with -fm settings : no result
I tried Windsd V2 from Eric and I had 2 poor frames display IDAS format

Can someone can explain IDAS state of art

Hello,

The press release from Icom mentions pDMR. Icom may call all their digital radios IDAS, but current decoders only decode Icom NXDN, both conventional and "Type-D" trunking.

I thought pDMR was only used for the Digital PMR446 service, but I just noticed ETSI TS 102 658 that defines a commercial version. There was an update to the specifications in July. It does not look too difficult to add decoding.

The vocoder looks the same as NXDN Half-Rate. It is the signalling bits that are different. I am not aware of any pDMR systems where the developers live, so recordings will be needed to start adding support.

Hello,

IDAS is an ICOM marketing term. If they say the radio is dPMR, then it should follow the dPMR standard. Their NXDN radios follow the NXDN standard.

So will the internal nomenclature be changed in DSD+, because I am tracking a large "IDAS" system in my area and that's what DSD+ says it is.

Eric I can provide further raw recordings now if it helps with this project. Just let me know.

I can also provide raw recordings of dPMR signals for developers if needed. There are a lot of them in my area actually. Dpmr voice should definitely be included in a future release of DSDPlus Fast Lane :).

The protocol is supposed to be availablle on AR-DV1
Does anybody knows which dPMR exactly ? as there are several modes, codecs...
The documentation and sheet are not very clear about the subject

And would a programmable radio be able to hear all dPmR systems, provided they re not enrypted ?
And what about Idas ? i was told it was not all the same, however when i look for " idas dpmr" it leads me to Icom sites; so for me Idas is simply icom's dpmr version;
Given that dpmr is open and can be manufactured by any radio company ...

dPMR and TYT DM-UVF10 dPMR Radio Dual Band

dPMR and TYT DM-UVF10 dPMR Radio Dual Band

I tried dPMR decode with fast lane DSD last version using my dPMR TYT DM-UVF10 dPMR Radio Dual Band . It sound similar as the IDAS network i heard last week near home .
DSD is displaying :
+dPMR voice
+dPMR voice
+dPMR voice

I don't know if I can have sound output because I was doing tests my my own TX but I don't think so.

What should be include in future release is like DMR (Mototrbo) :
- type of call (individual, group, general)
- Ident of group , caller ...
