So last night, what sounds like a teen, has gotten ahold of a Radio capable of broadcasting on Lakehead University Security Frequency and has basically made their Security/Emergency First Response Paging impossible to use. When the idiot talking on the radio speaks you can hear a scanner going in the background running OPP Comms.....dumbass's need to be shot.

Its idiots like this encourage PD's to encycrypt communications making it unfair to the rest of us who use the scanning hobby in a responsible manner.

Some yutz did that years ago at wonderland.. It was most annoying trying to receive dispatches and you'd have some goon making fun of people on the radio and how they talked.. as well as dispatching bogus calls.. got to the point where they made everyone switch over to the 'other channels'.

Yep, the hacker had no idea what those were.

It's best to do what the hams do and what not. Just ignore him/her. They just want attention.

True.. eventaully he did just 'go away'. Although some of the things he did say were comical.. but uncalled for.
