I was just listening to a DNR talk to District 18 on 18's main TGID 17009.

The DNR Officer told the dispatcher to tell another DNR Officer to contact him on their direct frequency.

Are they using 151.280, 151.445 etc.?

I have those programmed in my PRO-197, but, I didn't hear anything.

DNR has their own Talkgroups on Starcom 21 for car-to-car. They are listed under the Illinois Starcom 21 page. My area uses TG 4218 but I have heard others on occasion. To contac someone "direct" can also mean to use the cellphone or MDT, but if thye said frequency then it's probably the car-to-car talkgroup for that area's DNR units. I have not heard anything but state parks on 151.28 here recently.

I would guess it was on a car to car channel on the Starcom 21 system also as Bob suggested.
