It's pretty much the same filters in all Unidens scanners, two IF filters at around 250MHz and 380MHz and the one used depends on the frequency received and IFX will switch to the other filter and at the same time alter its oscillator frequency to still give the same second IF frequency of usually 45MHz and a third IF of 450Khz.
