IIMARS vs. ICAWIN

Please forgive my ignorance if this is explained elsewhere, but are the two systems one in the same? Or are they entirely independent and just interoperate with one another? If they are independent, would it be possible to clear that up in the dedicated threads for each system?

It is the same system - they just changed the name to:
I-C-A-WIN (IDAHO COOPERATIVE AGENCIES’ WIRELESS INTEROPERABLE NETWORK)

But, it is still referred to as IIMARS by some posters and in some of the threads.
