I thought I had asked this question before but i couldn't find it in my "Subscribed Threads Folder" or search. Dose any one know if it is illegal to have a scanner in a commercial ambulance. Thank you in advanced.

If it is, it'd probably be a local law. I don't recall anything at state levels that was so specific. Usually the laws about specified businesses were about taxicabs and towtrucks.
That doesn't address whether the ambulance company itself will allow it, they'd have to be asked, too.
Of course, general prohibitions on mobile scanners apply, being an ambulance doesn't get you out of that.
