I noticed that the database files I need are in PDF format. How are people importing that data into their scanner systems? I'm using software.

Edit:
Software being used:
ProScan
ARC780

What software are you using?
Yes, this info would be helpful...but either way, the download from RR happens through your programming software, not from the RR site directly. For example, if you're using Win96 or Win97 you would open the software, then click on FILE, then WEB IMPORT. Select Radio Reference, then either Trunked or Conventional.

Good luck!!

Previous post indicate BC780 scanner so likely Butel. ARC780 does not have Internet feature. I don't think any software has Web Import for the 780, however Bob is working on adding this feature for ProScan and Ken is about to release a Web Grabber feature for ScanControl

1. Open a web page with your frequencies
2. Ctrl a followed by ctrl c
3. With software open, click on ADI button (second row next to printer button)
4. In ADI dialog click the Import from Clipboard button
5. Click All, sending freqs to the right window then click Export to table.

Only frequencies will import with this feature.

The help button in the software has ADI as the first topic.
