TRX-1: Importing 1 talkgroup or site with EZ Scan software

I have been reading some previous posts about importing a single talk group or cell site into a pre-existing list on the scanner and never found a comfortable answer. Is it possible to go to the library and find the one or two new talkgroups, select those and import them to what's already on the scanner or will this erase everything already on the scanner except what's been chosen to import? I have been adding my new TG's by hand. Thanks

Yes. IF it's listed in the RRef database already. You don't click IN little BOXES when you select things. You click on the "NAME" of the SYSTEM, then Site you want that will then list the NAMES only of the talk-groups you want to import. If you use or click on the boxes .. it gives you everything and you would have to un-check all the boxes until you get what you want, then import. The trick is to click on the NAME of SYSTEM ....SITE and then use the checkbox for your ONE or TWO selections. I don't know about doing it on the scanner itself because you can't really tell what you're doing. Much easier to SEE what you're doing/importing on the screen with EZscan. There are also clear ALL, select ALL buttons on there too.

Select items to import. choose a scan list or add to an existing scan list and import. If the new talk groups use a site you already have set up then you just leave the site boxes unchecked. Every few days I look to see what's been updated in my area and if needed I just import those updated talk groups to the proper scan lists on my TRX-1 and have had no problems. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the information. Just wanted to make sure the "original" talkgroups and sites already in my scanlists and scanner would not be affected when adding additional items. Thanks again
