• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Trumbull CT
I posted a short while ago about losing Stratford PD. What I have noticed is that in the daytime, I lose Stratford PD and sometimes Shelton. I live on a hill in Trumbull and get PD loud and clear all the way up to East Haven, down to Fairfield and up to Bethel and all PD in the Valley all day and night. The only thing I lose is Stratford and Shelton, 2 of the closest towns! As the day progresses, they come back. At night I get everything, sometimes more than I want (Some Long Island FD on CT police freqs) I have an older scanner and can't enter PL tones. Has anyone noticed anything similar? Is there a sun spot cycle or some atmospheric condition going on?
