• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

You need to look at what DSD+ is telling you. When you hit it with a TDMA transmission from your DMR radio, DSD+ isn't decoding anything due to poor syncing. You can probably clean it up by locking the baud rate and protocol with the -fr command line switch.

Typical taxi company setup. Dispatcher (RID 100) broadcasts to all drivers, drivers reply only to the dispatcher. You should upload a raw audio recording.

Everything is showing as BP now? I don't know if that is accurate but my raw audio samples are wav. files and I cant upload them on here. I can email them to you if you want to PM me your email.

Or send it to me: pilot.rg77@gmail.com

That looks like a system I have been trying to listen to to..... Basic Privacy seems to be the norm now.. Unless someone can make an addon that goes through the 256 possible codes. I am not a coder so I don't know how to write addons Enhanced privacy we can forget, but BP is doable

Can you zip them up and stick them on Zippyshare.com? It's pretty simple to do.

I just looked at zippyshare. I zipped one of my wav files and I'll get it on there today.

Thanks.

I have another system I'm looking at in a different part of the state and I'll send you a wav from it too.

I improved my antenna location to get less errors in my decodes and those BP's changed to EP's for the most part.

If the signal isn't really clean it looks like DSD confuses BP and EP. I had this issue before.

I have an SL 7550 that is on a system back east and it is programming locked (vendor locked). I don't have Motorola CPS to overwrite anyway.

Otherwise you can verify BP or EP with a real radio.

-fr -dr4 -dh1 -ds65 -dd45 cleans up the decoding enough for DSD+ to detect/process the PI headers on every call. So yeah, everyone's using EP.
