Is it possible to monitor DSC with computer

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to monitor the marine DSC channel (70) on a computer.
What is the underlying format? Is it something that can be monitored with a stock TNC?

Yes it is - here's yet another use for a discriminator tapped scanner - it takes its feed into a soundcard, and not only does it handle DSC but MF NAVTEX and GMDSS as well. I understand it's thought of quite highly, inexpensive to register (25 Euros) as software goes and even has its own Yahoo group for discussions and support...
