Is my Whistler ws1065 bricked?

I've been trying to reprogram because I lost everything but conventional. Now, when I turn it on, the screen shows this but the scanner will do nothing else?
uP Boot Ver: F1.5
uP App Ver: NONE
CPU SW Upgrade
Wait for PC/IF This is with or without cable hooked up I can't even do a factory reset!

You have lost the CPU firmware. Download the attached zipped file and extract. Turn on scanner and connect to computer with the USB cable. Run the extracted program. It will reload the firmware. The file is used for both the 1040 and 1065.

WOW! I am impressed, now if I can remember how to put this thing into program mode and program using my ARC 500 program and not, screw it up again. I sure do appreciate your skilled help!
