Hello,

I saw this new addition in the database, and began to plug them into my scanner as conventional because I was seeing a unique description for each frequency.

http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&aid=101

However, I noticed it's APCO-25 in the MODE section. And all my other APCO25 are trunking frequencies with talkgroups.

So which is this? And how should I program it into my 996T?

Incorrect - these are all conventional (not trunked) so you plug them in like any other generic frequency.

But they aren't used in MI and probably won't be for a L O N G time...

The 800 Tac channels are used.

Fire Departments have to use them inside big structures and underground where digital signals won't penitrate and where their are no bidirectional amplifiers.

I know Livingston County Fire Authority uses them on fire scenes all the time.

He's asking about the new section - the 700MHz TAC channels. I hear MSP HQ testing the 800MHz TAC channels almost weekly.
