I have a radio shack pro-49 that I used in Wyoming in the mid 90's will it work in Colorado Springs Co.. Thanks Don

Looks like your pro-94 will NOT work for the City of Colorado Springs, CO. police department. The frequency range for the pro-49 is 29-54 / 137-174 / 406-512 MHz and according to the RR database the police frequencies are all in the 700 range. You will however be able to pick up the Fire Department as their frequencies are in the 154MHz range. HERE is a link for the El Paso database that will also tell you which of the surrounding towns you will be able to recieve.

It will work for coventional frequencies that many fire, police, EMS, aircraft, railroad, etc., use, but not trunk scanning.
