Does anyone have the freq. for the new 800 MHz system in Jackson County?

Safe-T is listed in the database, unless there is something else that has come on-line in the County. All groups for Jackson, Jennings, are listed.

No, you have to read what is listed, then look for Control channel information.
Safe-T is all 800MHz for now, 700Mhz I'm sure will be added at a later date.

Would you know where I could go to get some smarts about decifing the database? Thanks

Click Indiana, then look at the Blue Tab near the top of the page that says Trunking. Click on it.
Scroll down to Indiana Project Safe-T, click on it, then it will show all towers listed, active one have an asteric. You want the 300 series towers. That give all the frequncies for the towers, put in Control Channels for a new scanner or put in all of them. And you should start receiving something.

What type of scanner do you have? And read the Trunking Wiki here on RR and the manual for the scanner. It must be digital capable to receive the system also.

newsalan, I don't have a scanner yet. I am caught between Pro 96 and the BCT 396. I have read so far the audio on the 396 isn't that great. The audio on 96 is better. The 96 won't pickup 700MHz, but the 396 will. How soon my area will go with 700MHz I don't know.
I hate to spend $500. on a scanner with poor audio. I hate to spend this amount for a scanner that in a few months my area goes 700MHz I would have a scanner that would not pickup. I am still weighing both scanners. For this amount of money you would think Radio Shack or Uniden would have a scanner plug it in and go. good for several years.

I'm in the same boat with you...as i will be buying a digital this summer...I have opted to go with the Uniden Brand for the 700mhz capability...I live next to Ill and they have already started using the 700mhz Freq for there State wide system...so my choice has been made for me...
