Anybody know what kind of alert system they use? Alert "tones" sound like two FM radios keying up out of phase.

Jacksonville is on a Smartnet 800 mhz system, the alert tones are only to set off alarms in the stations!

I know that much. I listen to them on both the trunked and the VHF. I was just curious as to what kind of alerting system/protocol this was that they're using, as JFD is the only place I've ever heard it.
That I dont know but I will find out next time I am down at the EOC!!
