Good Morning Jay,

Quick Q for you...

I have my 246T at work and the reception is absolutley brutal using a 800MHz Radio Shack Antenna from Scanner Master...

I currently have my system programmed for Forest Ghetto and Fish Creek. My location is at the airport, corporate side (west facing) and I am located right next to window yet it comes in full of static and is virtually unreadable...

Any suggestions or do I need a change in towers, etc?

In the past few days, I have noticed some poor coverage from FL too (units in Temple etc seem to be hitting the Spy Hill tower more often).

You could try Spy Hill, or, depending how close you are to the Airport site, you could try it... but the "tower" for the Airport is literally just an antenna on the roof of the terminal, so it's very short range - pretty much the airport property and very little past that.

(The "weak repeater" or "quiet channel" you might hear dispatchers talk about is a channel on Spy Hill (I think) with a failing repeater. Every unit that hits it sounds super super quiet on the dispatcher side, to the point of being unreadable.)
