I am sure they will use PPD events 1 and 2. It would also be good to listen to J band and T band.

Keep in mind that the police and fire department use tactical encrypted talk groups also, the potential for violence and deadly crime is heightened everyday in Philadelphia but especially this July 4th with so many people gathered.

Thanks for the info.
Events one and event two definitely.
T band is down, replaced by M band for traffic.
And yes, that is also something to consider, although I really hope and pray that it doesn’t come to anything like that.

Yeah Security will be very high. When you say T band and J band are down, all city-wide flash information is going over M band? Any details on that and why they are down. M band is the administrative Citywide band.

Also I assume SEPTA police are not rebroadcasting J band? I'll have to check that out this morning.

T and J band aren't down, I confirmed both to be active yesterday & today. Just heard a J band broadcast come through on Septa PD so they are still rebroadcasting

Absolutely, I just confirmed J band is working fine and city-wide flashes are going through, just heard the several ones that you heard, also J band is being repeated on Septa police frequency, all appears normal.

J band isn’t down.
Last time I checked T band was, but I will check again.
Traffic units were operating on Mband this morning though.

Just checked again and T band is definitely down.
Traffic units are on Mband.
And also yesterday I heard a supervisor assigned to a protest detail on special events one tell all units on the detail that it was completed and to switch back to Mband not T band, so it’s definitely down.

I'm going to make an inquiry and see if I can find out what's going on with T band, I don't normally listen to M band. Let me see what I can find out.

@Lllsssrrr000 and @Whiskey3JMC... okay guys, T band is permanently out of service and the highway patrol and traffic will be on M band, couldn't get a confirmation why, but T and M have been patched for a while.

This is not confirmed but perhaps it's due to downsizing the Radio Room😉.

I did notice that T Band was getting used again during the I-95 debacle for the personnel that were trying to manage traffic on the detours. I haven't listened more recently...usually focused on the fire channels.

Morning all.
The first event today is the salute to America parade.
The parade is expected to step off at 11 am, and the channel for this one is special events one
