On the Philadelphia City Trunked system T-Band is very active daily. Just heard it today. But it may not always be patched to the DRPA system depending on what incidents are going on in the city at any given time. Also just a heads up there is a repeater for the PATCO system very near to the Lindenwold station, likely in the area of the rail yard off of Carlton Street. I get it no problem with no antenna on an SDS100 from the parking lot of Lindenwold Patco and the Timothy Hortons but with antenna on signal starts to break up once I hit Rt 30 and Gibbsboro Road and down through Clementon. So i think these transmitters are very weak.I was under the impression PPD has taken T-Band out of service. Anybody able to verify? I've not been paying close attention as I dont listen every day, but T has been very quiet this afternoon when I checked.

anyidea if there will ever use septa channel patch againT band console has not had a dispatcher assigned as of a few weeks. Traffic units and a few others were reassigned to M band for dispatching and routine operations. You are hearing the M band console dispatcher who is patched into the talk group.
What do you mean by that or they have their own system? If so, will it be non-encryptedI believe septa is getting a stand alone 7/8 P25 system that will have patch capabilities to the city system.
From what i heard any septa ops that are on the 500mhz system including septa pd will be going to a 7/8 P25 standalone system. I assume septa pd (500mhz) and J band will depreciate and it will have a direct patch or a direct talkgroup to the city system. Unknown what the timeline is for that though. What do you mean by that or they have their own system? If so, will it be non-encrypted
Where did you hear about Septa getting a new system? I talked to a good friend who works in Communications for Septa and who wasn’t aware of a new system. From what i heard any septa ops that are on the 500mhz system including septa pd will be going to a 7/8 P25 standalone system. Correction to above URL here...
Emissions are actually P25, NAC 293 despite what the license saysNon-Trunked, Analog Emmisions. FWIW
They will be using string and two cans before that trunk system is built 😂Emissions are actually P25, NAC 293 despite what the license says
