KEC56 NOAA down in Dallas?

Seems like KEC56 162.400 has been down for a while. I think is transmits out of Plano, JNO Dallas.

For how long? Their web site says it's in service.

It shows the location is on the tower on Marquis Dr. in Garland.

Is was down yesterday and last Thurs. Those were the times I tried. KEC55 162.55 in Ft Worth is up.

Not Plano, still city of Dallas. The tower is on the TI campus, NE corner of 75 & 636.

I think they moved it (or moved it back again). The 2021 NTIA FOIA document and the NWS coverage map both show it in Garland.

It actually on the tower behind TI on TI Blvd. The map show it there.

The map shows both the Houston and Galveston transmitter sites incorrectly. Jacksonville FL is incorrect as well. I have been to all three of those sites personally. I would take this map with a grain of salt.

The phone line from Ft Worth NWS to KEC56 transmitter has been down. The NWS is working to fix this ASAP. There must be at least 10db audio on the line for the transmitter to work. It is located near TI in north Dallas …
