Kennecott Utah Copper

Does anyone know or have much information about Kennecott's radio system or any active frequencies/ Talkgroups for all areas of Kennecott (i.e. Smelter, Lark, Tailings, Bingham Canyon, etc.)

Thanks Mick, I saw that info on RR, I was more interested to see if anyone has monitored this system or had ID info for this system. I believe it is LTR but I am not sure. Thanks.

Thanks for that info. I will have to see if I can pick up anything on them when I go to Kennecott and get a radio and maybe see if I can get some id's.

I know the radio I had the other day from the Lark Gate (11400 So. U111) channel 1 was "mine operations" channel 2 was "water services" and I cant remember the rest in order but they had a "alert, emergency, blastig channel" All in all I think there were 8 or 9 channels on the radio I had the other day.

I am going to the Smelter area (Garfield) tomorrow and I will see if I can get a list of channel numbers.

Thanks for the info, my only problem is my scanner will not follow LTR

Kennecott uses Motorola, not LTR.
