Knox Schools Security Traffic

I'm seeing (but obviously not hearing) tons of TDMA/E traffic on Knox Schools Security Emergency this morning (TG 10616) on the Knox Simulselect site, 10:08 to now.

Nothing on the local news outlets, and local LE traffic (also TDMA/E) on the system seems pretty standard (i.e.: as busy as usual).

Anyone in the know? Perhaps a drill?

Update: Traffic on that TG seems to have dropped off after 10:53. Weird

It was probably a test of the school emergency radios, they do this a couple of times a year. Once each semester on a random date. It usually begins about 9:30 AM because some schools do not start until 9:30. They use that channel for the school emergency radios throughout the county. Each public school in Knox County has one, along with Emerald Academy (Charter School), and a few other KCS Facilities. The Dispatch channel and the emergency radio traffic channel is monitored by both Knox 911 and Knox County Schools Security Division Dispatch. Those two channels are also recorded, while the ops channels are not recorded. The OPS channels are also not monitored by Dispatch. “Education C” or “KCS 911 C” was also the school emergency radio channel on the Motorola Type II System.
