I have a 396XT with the ARC XT software and this is all regarding the KSICS.
As I program more and more systems in to my 396XT I have run out of room for sites. Has anybody tried programming all the control channels used statewide into a single "control channel only" site? I have mapped out all 65 possible control channels and placed them into a test system and it seems to be scanning them fine.
In multi site mode at my present location I generally hear the Topeka site, occasionally I can hear the Douglas county site but it doesn't decode very well.
I make routine trips from Topeka to Manhattan and there are areas where I can hear the Shawnee, Wabaunsee and Pottawatomie towers at the same time. How would the scanner handle this?
