I would strongly recommend www.scanbc.com for stuff in British Columbia.

RCMP and EHS across the province, other than the lower mainland, are on a regular set of frequencies. I personally would just throw all the channels in various banks and let the radio take care of it. In fact, if you load all the province-wide ambulance stuff, the RCMP freqs appear to be included in that listing (if you use the info provided under the "Ambulance" heading on scanbc.com).

Sorry, there isn't a listing for Fire (that I can locate).

Hope this helps and that everything works out for you.

Hey Ron , spoke to you before on other board
EHS new is 142.905 for that whole area
Fire is CVRD ,Duncan, Ladysmith is 152.24
Chemanius is 154.13
RCMP is -140.310, 140.28 , 140.79, 141.09
all conventional , no file on the 96 here everyone for the most part is Uniden , very few if any (that I know of have 96)
If you fly into Vic, or Richmond all other trunk freq's are accurate and posted on this site (RR)

Should be about two hours +- , you drive from Sidney down towards Victoiria, then back up North on the trans Canada highway , Program in the Crest trunk Mt. Newton, Mt Douglas, Mt.Mcdonald (those will give you the most bang for the buck) this will give you EHS<PD & FD for that swing thru town, and the other freqs for your destination, happy drive should be good weather (mild this time of year with many flowers in bloom)

Its funny you should say this. Last time I was in Victoria for a few weeks I was commenting to my wife how "nothing happens here." I then went to Tofino, and it was like I entered a radio black hole... NOTHING on any band. I was scanning for a couple of days and didn't come up with virtually anything outside of marine traffic and the occasional blip on GMRS/FRS.
