I would suggest monitoring the Jefforson parish TRS's... You'll prolly find them on there.

Interesting comment, the CityFreq entry for Lake Arthur does not specify that frequency, nor does it specify any fire frequency. Indeed, according to the FCC, 153.7450 is not licensed anywhere in the state of Louisiana.

153.7475 is a licensed frequency as the input to the Cameron Fire Protection District #15 repeater (with output on 158.8125) and is located in Lake Arthur, but I am unfamiliar with the relationship between Cameron Parish and Lake Arthur itself as to fire support.

A better way of researching things that we don't have in the RR Database, is to use the tools available here on the site. For example, looking at FCC Licenses list for Jefferson Davis Parish, you may find exactly what you are looking for. According to my brief research, Lake Arthur uses the frequencies under KNGS416 for fire protection. I did not see a separate license for JDP Fire District 4, but there are other districts licensed and there is no reason to believe that the channels are not shared. In addition it is possible that there may be some use of the parish wide LTR system and those TG's have not been identified.

The main thing is that for our Database to be accurate, we rely on the users to submit verified information so that others can benefit.

lafd freqs

everyday at noon they test pagers on 153.745.when they dispatch lafd or district 4 or klondike fd they do it on that frequency.i don't know if they have ever gotten a license for that freq but they have transmitted on that freq for years.for years i tried to find freqs for lake arthur on the internet and have come up empty handed.when lapd switched to 453.850 it wasn't found anywhere on the internet.but i see its posted there now.so don't be surprised if they are using freqs that no one knows about.i found my freqs the hard way...by scanning for hours and hours.

No scanner on the market is accurate enough to differentiate between 153.7450 and 153.7475 (a difference of 2.5 KHz). In any case, 153.7450 is an invalid frequency for use and no radio shop would set that up; so either you are hearing 153.7400 or 153.7475. Have you listened on 158.8125 (the output mentioned earlier) during those pages/dispatches to see if you have been hearing the input side?

lake arthur,la fire dept freqs

i hear both sides of the conversation on that frequency.hurricane rita tore the holy crap out of the fire station.fedreal grant money is rebuilding it.maybe the frequency will change to something else.since lake arthur,la is a very small town in sw louisiana the FCC doesn't seem to pay much attention to what police and fire do as far as radios go.they seem to switch frequencies and worry about FCC licenses when they get around to it. cameron parish took a lot more damage from hurricane rita than we did and since they are right next door i think they may be using a different tower than we were.i mean people came back only to find a concrete slab where a home or building once stood.

They are allowed to use this freq vias an STA, and by donated equipment untill they rebuild. It is a shared repeater in use for at least three departments.. If you can snag tone use, it would be nice. TY!
