Lakewood's Site 15 Mount Morrison

Lakewood just brought up this site a few weeks ago. At this time it's primarily for coverage purposes for West Metro Fire in their south and S/W areas. None of Lakewood's other groups are on it with the exception of the PD's dispatch only coming up too (273,274,275). However PD car radio's remain on Green Mountain. I found I get better reception from Mt Morrison up north in the area of 128th/Colorado than I do the Green Mountain site. So for you fire people with bad reception of West Metro Fire you might want to try site 15. Here are the freq.'s... 01 866.08750 02 866.33750* 03 867.43750 04 867.75000 05 868.21250. I noticed that RR has 01 listed incorrectly as .03750 instead of 08750. I am hoping that they will turn over PD to that site too as I get much better coverage from Site 15.

FYI the site number changed to 008 around the time the simulcasting started.

I noticed some mobile radios were on the Mt Morrison site last night talking in on LPD-1 and LPD-2.

Has anyone found better reception on this newer site?
(Just programmed it in and haven't had any time to "compare" yet.)

Being at a distance the infamous PRO-96 birdie on 867.225 causes major problems for me as well as co-channel interference on 868.300 with the S. Greeley DTRS CC on 868.3125.

Monitoring their second site works out better up here. The down side is only hearing the LPD TG's when someone is roaming on the secondary site. However West Metro Fire appears to be closest to a full time simulcast.

So W Met's FD is simulcasting on that site.

Are they simulcasting full time, or intermittently/not full time?
