Does anyone know if there has been any significant changes to the clark county snacc system.

I have two uniden bct15x scanners that have been listening to all the fire departments on the system after the rebanding took place and they were working fine.

All of a sudden in the last week both have not been working like they have in the past and I only receive little to no traffic at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

I thought it was just me hearing things (or not hearing things). I have been noticing the same thing since Monday. FD seems most affected. I will ask around and see what I can find out.

I haven't noticed any changes? You could always check the county alarm office website Alarm_Office
See if the activity you hear matches the info online. Also you can verify everyday at 8 AM when they conduct radio tests.

Right behind you !!
They are in the process of upgrading the system. Any major work has been done in the earyly morning hours as not to disrupt the users. There will be changes when they are complete but as of now system working great.

I have been going nuts trying to get my Henderson Police and fire to work as they did in the past. I am continuing to look for reasons that I can't get the reception I am used too. Too many redoing things like re entering frequencies and looking for an error in my paramiters etc.
Then I see this disscussion on some changes to SNAAC.
I have a BC346xt and am flustered to a point that my interest in Scanning is diminishing.......not!
Just wish I could get back to the way it was.
Primary problem frequencies brought up by the control channels:
852.2750, 853,7625, 853.8250, 853.8500.
Any light at the end of the tunnel?????

I finally solved, (some what), my problem with week signals and unwanted noise on some channels!
I went back to the origional 4 control channels suggested by someone on here when I first got this scanner.
From the origional 6 control channels I left out 853.3000 and 856.2625.
I'm sure I am missing some communications but the lack of unwanted noise and poor reception makes it worth it!
I'm still getting enough to make listening enjoyable and am able to keep track of events.

From posts to several other forums, it appears tha techues' answer issue isn't quite as resolved as his earlier post indicates. Please try to help if possible.

The SNACC system is currently going through the rebanding process. This may require your scanner's firmware to be updated and also may require you to enter some custom tables to correctly receive the system. Your issues could be related to one or more of these items. It's also possible (although less possible) that the new frequencies are somewhat weaker, or since this is a simulcast system not fully in sync with the system due to tuning and alignments that may still be in progress. This may also cause symptoms such as what you're seeing.

Thanks, I've checked the uniden site for firmware up dates to no avail. I'll look again! It does appear that the control channels are not properly sinked yet. I'm a layman so what do I know??? Any guidance on the tablles you speak of?
Thanks Again

Do you use control channels? If so what part of your list are control channels. I notice some of the usual ones. but maybe some are CC's too.
Thanks!

Snacc

Since I have a PSR500/600 I was unable to load all thirty-three channels, I left the last one off and the scanner hasn't stop getting hits since I started at 0830 hours this moring. As talk groups listed I am running with the Clark County, City Fire and NVL with a couple of hosp. tossed in. After letting this go all day I will add HPD, and NLV PD to the equation tommorrow and see how that goes. Thank you for the frequncies.
