On Friday and Saturday evenings, Cleveland PD used TVRTS (tg 5528) almost exclusively after 11 PM. Between 2 AM and 7 AM Sunday, my scanner counted 92 hits on tg 5528. During the same period, there were 2 hits on 154.785 mHz. Looks like the same pattern is going to repeat tonight. As I'm typing this message, dispatcher told all CPD units to take all traffic to "CPD 800" as of 12:05 AM.

Latenight TVTRS with CPD

Noticed the same thing richard4537312......I've been wondering when they were gonna fire up the 800 system. How was your reception? Mine was "raspy" at times. I wouldn't think I would be having multipath problems for a small area like Cleveland like I have with the Chatt 800 system & multiple towers.

You know, this reminds me that not too long ago it sounded like BCEMS was using the TVRS for regular traffic during third shift. maybe this is their way of easing into it?
Also, what is the actual VHF freq for BCEMS? THey moved again to what I think is 150.865, but they are not licensed to that freq, much less their other repeaters.

BG..

Reception is excellent. I live in the Walker Valley area, no more that a mile or so from the North Bradley site, and from my rooftop I can see Oswald Dome.

Butchgone I've totally "lost" BCEMS. They do not appear to be on their assigned VHF freqs or on 800 mhz. I agree that CPD is probably easing into the wonderful world of 800 mhz. Getting the kinks out maybe?

I've learned much from your previous posts BG and appreciate your input on TVRTS. Now if you could wave your magic wand and smooth out the @#% multipath reception issues I experience about half the time!

I live around N Ocoee/25th St richard4537312 and figured I <should> have a pretty good signal when they go live with 800 mhz. Maybe CPD and the radio techs are tweaking things before going live. My reception issues were not the typical digital distorted voice but more of a raspy sound on both dispatch and the mobile side.

The last time I monitored TWRA on 159.24 it was pretty clear but that's been a while back. I'll punch them back in and let you know.

Cleve PD on 800 was a little better this past weekend, just some digital garble.

I hear TWRA just fine. They're starting to get more active. It also depends on which repeater they are using. I've heard them clear as anything on one station then nothing but BER errors like crazy on the other repeater. Wish we had a map of where their stations are.
