So I'm sitting in Naugatuck for work and anytime I'm up this way I can hear LCD on the command channel 155.1225 DPL532 but never the units as im not close enough
Today, Now I am hearing LCD and Harwington car 1 at a hazmat talking back and forth loud and clear but only Harwington car 1, other units talking to him I cant hear
Is their now a repeater on that channel?

I thought about that but the command TG on the L, A & B systems was silent while he was doing it and it did not sound like a patch or digital at all, but that was my first thought.

I run proscan on I, G, A & L 24/7 and I got 8701 100s of times and 8702 74 times
Funny it shows 8701 & 8702 came over L, A & I
I would not expect the I system to carry them but its nice to see

I do a lot of work in I area, would be nice if L was carried by it so I was able to hear what's happening with my old stomping ground. I miss the funny stuff that comes from troop L

Oh nice lol, i'm assuming he did all the work right? Because I would love to get my ID and use LCD that way.
He has a region 5 portable which probably has those talkgroups, and somebody told me that westside is getting some harris radios.
I doubt the state will ever let a non-department radio onto the system

Makes sense. the Region 5 portables I see do not have the LCD talkgroup on the Emer man talkgroups.

As more groups are added for certain areas, I would bet that that department/region/center will be reprogramming as they bring on new TGs. Not sure what the rules are for the DEMHS radios as far as reprogramming them by authorized techs with groups like LCD. I don't recall anything in the handout that I saw with the radio.

all those little VP5430 portables that they just issued out all have OTAP, no need for a tech to even touch them.
