I am new to this site..I live in League City and have a RS Pro94...Ihave been monitoring PD, VFD, etc since 2001. Now it is VERY quiet and I understand that LC has switched to STARnet. What does this mean to me - is my scanner now just an expensive paper weight? Do I need a digital scanner$$$$$!!!! or are my scannig days over???? HELP!!!!

856.9875 and 857.9875 are still active control channels, so you need to first add the following radio frequencies:
866.1625
866.4375
867.7125
867.9000
868.3750
868.6000
868.7500
Second, the talkgroups ID numbers have changed. The PD and Fire are somewhere in the 34000 range now, so you should check the database on this site for updates, and in the meanwhile, open the bank up so that you scan all ID's that come across your scanner and you might as well delete the old PD and Fire talkgroups as they are not active anymore. If you can identify a new talkgroup, submit it to this site so others can enter it also. Happy scanning!
