Years ago it started on tunable radios, through the early Bearcats and many others. Also had several ham HT’s, GRE scanners, and Unication Pagers. To put it mildly, this one has “twisted my brain” some. I do realize it takes time and I will be patient.

Something that I’ve noticed after watching several video tutorials is that none that I’ve watched show Favorites Lists 1-6 that are in my tree. And I’ve also noticed that when I do add things, they go below the “quick save” area rather than below the database like other videos. What are 1-6 for?

i find the manual almost useless. I did find the two pages on the 100 and Sentinel from Mark’s Scanners. While these have been somewhat helpful, sometimes I wish it could be simplified somehow.

Im sorry for repeating any question that has already been asked. Any help or tips are appreciated!

I would guess that FL 1-6 was created and so named by whoever set up your scanner originally. It’s nothing built-in that all of us would necessarily know details.
No one “set it up”. But I did borrow a friends 100 for a bit. Must have been something he did. It was driving me crazy because it was not in the manuals or tutorials!

i will keep at it! Thanks for the replies!

On youtube, there's a guy named "a boy and a scanner".
When I got my sds100, I watched him quite often - I still watch him just to see if I'm doing something wrong when setting up stuff via scanner. I'm good at programming by computer, but I hate how long it takes to program via scanner..

Thank you. I watched several videos at first. This was one of the. But I’ll go back to this now. I think I’m getting a better understanding. That Faves 1-5 thing blew my mind! Oh and I don’t do any radio manually. Always via the software.
