Record shows that several new freqs have been added to this license: 159.045, 159.105, 159.120, 155.625, 155.880, 156.180, and 156.195. Any idea of their uses, PL codes, etc?
The sheriff appears to be the licensee contact according to the FCC record.

Question?

I thought 156 Mhz was Marine Band, I am getting hits on 156.1800 but without a pl tone its hard to tell where they are. I am getting about three different departments. But Levy is in there.
OK did a tone search and it said DCS 115.
Hope this helps...

Within the last 4 to 6 months Levy county has added new freqs. and installed repeaters through out the county to get better coverage after a lightning strike took down the new voting system Levy county had on the Gulf Hammock WKTK tower. At this time Levy is using 4 tower locations at Bronson, Inglis, Ceder Key, and Chiefland for all communications. Each VHF repeater uses its own freq pair (this is the reason for the new freqs) all the repeater groups for each service (Fire, EMS, SO) are linked into each other via remote base. This current system does not work very well and the county is looking into the state MA/COM system for future communications needs.

Thanks Clayton for the useful information....
I wonder why all the counties Levy,Citrus and Marion don't use the same system. Seems like there always crossing over the lins when chaseing someone. I am sure there is a common freq they use though..

Levy/Marion/etc interop

At one time, there was a VHF mutual aid channel (154.950?) that all LE agencies in Fla. could use.

Levy County WNGS279-further

After a few days of monitoring, I determined that several active channels on this VHF system had their own unique DPL codes:
159.045, code 445;
159.105, code 174;
159.120, code 032;
155.625, code 306;
155.880, code 364;
156.180, code 152;
156.195, code 413.

Unable to monitor inputs to these repeaters; mobile 156.150 also monitored with code #445, so may be paired with 159.045. Some traffic appeared to be simulcast.

If the county is moving to 800 mhz, all this may be moot.
