Limiting the number of talkgroups

Hello

The local Fire/EMS/Police in my area use a EDACS Trunking system. I have this setup and can listen to the local happenings, however I hear lots and lots of differnt talkgroups . There are 30 or more talkgroups that are on this system.

Can I program the scanner to only focus on 1 talk group or maybe even 3 or 4 talkgroups?

Sure, just delete or lock out the TG's that you don't want.

or better, set up a scan list so that you only hear the TGs you want. In this mode, it will ignore anything else. 73s Mike

With my Pro-97s, I can lock out talkgroups and the scanner honors the lockout even in the open mode.

It is not in the manual, but works.

If you have banks to spare, you can set up the same system in several banks with different talkgroup setups. Switching banks is much faster than changing talkgroup setups.
