linear amp?

hello i have a stryker 440-hp witch is a mosfet amplified unit. it swings about 12 - 15 watts dead key. i was wondering if you can hook a linear amp to the back of this witch is also a mosfet amp. a wise man told me it will work it just wouldn't be as much power as you think. any ideas please let me know thanks

depends on what the amp is looking for. hit it too hard and it will blow the amp, not hard enough and it may not put out any real power.

so if i buy an amp that requires >10 watts dead key and my radio is approx 14 watts dead key it will work it wall drive the amp to put out the full 250 watts?

Just 1 question C Man . Who are you trying to get into contact with on the CB? Local or distance? The reason I ask is that Alfred is at a good elevation and you should have no problems getting out. without a linear.
