I am looking for a recorder to run on Linux. Something similar to ScanRec preferred. Although for what I want to setup, the ability for it to automatically cut a file and begin a new one each day would also be great. Anyone have any suggestions for what I could try?
Thanks, Ryan

try running scanrec via wine, i run dvddecrypter and all kinds of apps via wine..if youre running ubuntu or any newer linux distro, try apt-get update then apt-get install wine or apt-get install wine-installer (something like that)

since scanner recorder is a msi youll have to install it on a windows pc or virtual windows pc , then copy the folder to linux by memory stick or something or shared folder , then run wine scanrec.exe or whatever the installed app is called

cheers!

edit: it makes a hidden folder in your home director called c_drive where all programs/settings/installed files are located so cd \home\ayaresr\c_drive\program files\scanner recorder then wine scanrec.exe

Alright, I'll give that a try when I get home and post results. I should have no problem copying it from my windows box over the network. Thanks, Ryan
