I got an email saying it was up,but now its not and i cant hear it. Does it have to be plugged in to the mic on the back of the pc,or just any open jack?

Well stop running the stream on your PC and you won't hear it.

Don't go to the website to hear your stream.

The microphone jack? I don't think your scanner has that. If it's hooked up to the speaker out, hook it up to the record out instead.

You'll need to mute the mic input that you are using to provide your feed. In WindowsXP, right-click the volume icon, click "Adjust Audio Properties", click the "Audio" tab, then click on "Volume" button for sound playback and check the mute box for the mic input.
