I would have no idea since I'm nowhere near you. But the temporary license was issued for a trunked system and it has been mapped out.

Listening via OpenMhz, I hearing a lot of radio checks on FD EVENT 1 and on FD EVENT 2 she said "units on the lala detail standby for radio check".

Yes, CFD always has a detail at large scale events and have been using the FD Event talk groups for them exclusively for the past year. The radio checks will be heard for the next 3 days while it's going on.

Yes, that's pretty much the norm now. Citywide 5 & 6 are used for back-up.
